Wei Joined OTF in 2017 as Program Manager.. Wei has a media background. Before joining OTF, Wei worked as a manager of media projects that use ICTs to amplify the voices of people in distress and support human rights.

Wei worked on coordinating independent media projects to bypass censorship in Eastern Europe and Eastern Asia. Wei also helped setting up and reviewing digital security strategy for independent media projects. Prior to that, Wei worked as a journalist covering internet freedom related issues.
