Ben Laurie is a software engineer and cryptoplumber. He helped set up the Apache Software Foundation and the OpenSSL project (the most widely used crypto library in the world). He is a Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory, where he is working on capability-based systems. He is also a member of Google’s Security Team, where he is currently working on Certificate Transparency. He has reluctantly come to the conclusion that usability is the single biggest security problem we face today.
