Magma

Maga is a guide for network measurements and data analysis in risky environments.

This project focused on building a research framework for individuals analyzing information controls through network measurements. The magma guide is a user-friendly research framework for individuals looking to analyze information controls through network measurements. The guide enables researchers to properly structure an activity plan, make informed choices regarding required tools (including ethical and security aspects), as well as analyze the data produced by such tools. The project seeks to shrink the knowledge gap required to start conducting information controls research, and it uses an open collaborative structure to allow users to distribute, modify, contribute, and review content. This allows the guide to stay as current as possible in an effort to keep pace with the constant evolution of Internet censorship techniques. You can read more about this project in the associated OTF blog post.
