IREX Trainers Summit

IREX implemented a Trainers Summit, which built capacity to raise the standards of digital security trainers, set the agenda for improving circumvention technologies, and began a conversation about a global, secure-sharable network of trainers in digital security that can be rapidly mobilized for emergency responses and regional advocacy for safer practices in digital communications.

IREX, working with the Tor Project and Internews, facilitated Trainers Workshops on the sidelines of the Circumvention Tech Festival. The Workshop helped to build capacity to raise the standards of digital security trainers, set the agenda for improving circumvention technologies, and start a conversation about a global, secure-sharable network of trainers in digital security that can be rapidly mobilized for emergency responses and regional advocacy for safer practices in digital communications.
