MaadiX is a privacy-oriented tool that provides one-click installation of advanced, free, and open-source applications on an individual’s own server. The tool puts users back in control of their data and communications without requiring extensive technical knowledge or expensive investments.
MaadiX provides a graphical interface to easily manage servers, allowing the installation and maintenance of several applications such as OpenVPN, email server, Nextcloud, RocketChat, OnlyOffice, Jitsi Meet, among many others. Users can also easily manage updates for applications, as well as for the system itself. With MaadiX, users preserve root access to their own server.
MaadiX is currently used by several organizations that need to protect their privacy and security.
This project will support MaadiX to undertake a number of critical, security-enhancing measures to improve the resilience of the platform, and to update the offering of decentralized tools that MaadiX is able to offer to its users.
Our roadmap for 2024/25 is to add applications such as Mastodon, PeerTube, Cryptpad, Tor Hidden Service, as well as enabling IPv6 support.
